I'm still here....

Hello??!! Is anyone out there?? Yea I know I've been missing in action lately, my post are always so sporadic...what can I say?? I've been GREAT lately, couldn't be happier at the moment. My son & husband are happy and well and we're all still in the land of the living!! Hallelujah!!

As of recent though, I feel I havent been as deep in the Word as I should be...I don't want the day to day stuff to bog me down so that I'm not getting my spiritual nurishment. I've found a great new bible app on my iPhone (glo bible) that I plan to put into good use. Its great because it gives other topics such as photos and maps and commentary on the holy land. It only gives you KJV & NIV which is cool because those are 2 of the most popular versions. So I encourage everyone to download this app if its available to you!!

Lemme lemme upgrade ya....

Oh did I mention I know have an iPhone??!! YES!! I finally made the switch...and it was very hard to talk myself into parting with my Blackberry, I've been a faithful user for the past 3-4 years. But with that being said, the wait is now over and I can say that I absolutely love my phone. The surprising part is that it was not that hard to figure out(which was my main fear, besides a full touch screen). I've started collecting cases also, don't ask me why but its a strange obsession with color I suspose...

HAIR!!!

I'm so loving my hair these days!! It's growing so fast and I can tell its super healthy!! Still using my same products, but I have more of a routine now instead of just whatever I felt like using that day.

Nothing special just a whimsical scarf all black top and pants with a now vintage jean jacket. I also have on cognac hued riding boots to spice it up a bit! Pretty neutral eye with a pop of green underneath and a glossy pink lip! Comfy cute is always in style!! :)

Still Blessed....

I love the scripture about being blessed in the city and blessed in the field blessed in my coming and blessed in my going(Deut 28: 3-7) ...its how I feel daily. Despite some of the trials I've been through as of recent, I know that I am blessed and things are still working out for my good(Rom 8:28)!! God is just awesome like that!! :)

However lately I've been having a feeling of being sligtly overwhelmed just by my daily life. See Christal Lindsay is a wife, mother, daughter, a ministers wife, and ME...but I'm starting to feel that the ME part is getting lost. Now granted all these things make me who I am and I love each and every one, but I'm still Christal, I still love neo soul, I still want to make momma happy, I still want to live life and do the things I love. I use to love to listen to "Voyage to Atlantis" with my husband, that was our song before we were saved...now I love my life as a saved Christian don't get me wrong, but sometimes I like to revisit some of the memories that helped us fall in love. Those things are still apart of me....
As May 28th approaches and my 20's decade closes out, I still sometimes feel like that 17 year old...and what I mean by this is people put certain expectations on you and expect you to follow through at the every beck and call. But when do I get the right to say NO, without it meaning disrespect?? I've lost many a friend to this phenomenom, that's ok, but when it comes to family, I never want anyone especially my mother to feel disrespect, but again I'm almost 30, I think I have the right to say as I feel in an appropriate manner, and be respected for it. Right wrong?? Who knows....

But now that I'm off my soapbox.... still loving the natural life, I just hate having to twist my hair every night, bc I will not go out with matted down curls, no I won't do it LoL!!  The Kimmaytube hair mixer {2 Tbsp leave in cond, 2 Tbsp Aloe vera juice, 2 Tsp Jojoba oil, 2 Tsp Castor Oil} is working out fantastic and it's keeping my hair soft and moisturized from week to week in between washes ( I wash or co wash every week usually Saturday or Sunday) So here are some updated photos above, my hair has actually grown a substancial amount so I'm happy!! Sorry so late...

Wow, its been a long time!! But its all good, I have great news....I'VE DECIDED TO GO NATURAL!! Yup that's right its been about 9-10 wks since my last relaxer and I'm so nervous for this transition because my hair tends to have a mind of its own. I've been using products by Carols Daughter which are all natural, and they seem to be doing a good job of stopping breakage and keeping my hair moisturized. This weekend I will be getting micros(which I'm scared to death about) but I know God hasn't given me the spirit of fear, so all will be okay(its just hair:)...I'll post some pics once their done. Oh and I just had a birthday, and what a wonderful day it was, to GOD be the GLORY for it ALL !!!

• Tui Leave in conditioner(Good for just a refresher mist, but not really as a conditioner)
• Some of Marguerites Magic
• Healthy Hair Butter
• Mimosa Hair Honey
• Lisa's Elixir Oil
• Rosemary Mint Shampoo(Only use once or twice a month, as this does strip your hair, but it cleans very well and has a nice tingle)
• Organic replenishing conditioner(This stuff here is the TRUTH, I can leave it on for a minute and feel the difference,MUST HAVE, I also do my co-washes with this as well)
